WHAT WE DO
We provide a support network for each other, sharing our experiences, concerns and our pride in our military children. Our members receive a Blue Star Service flag, representing their family member’s service, to proudly display.
We feel strongly that a care package from home is one of the tangible and immediate ways that we can show our gratitude and appreciation to military men and women serving far from home. Our packages of food, toiletries and, very importantly, cards and letters, are a great morale boost to the spirits of those far from family and home. There are many ways that you can help fill these boxes.
We support our veterans by working with local veterans’ assistance organizations, and VA social workers, providing donations and Target cards for those struggling to make ends meet. We want veterans to know that their community remembers and honors their service. We also honor our veterans by our involvement in memorials, parades and special events. Our group has enjoyed important support from our local veterans’ groups.

WHO WE ARE
History: The Blue Star Mothers of America was formed in 1942 by mothers of servicemen serving in all branches of our Armed Forces. The early members played important roles during World War II, volunteering and packing care packages for soldiers. In recent years, once again mothers have come together to support each other as well as our sons and daughters in the military.
The Blue Star Moms of Marin members, associates and community volunteers foster our mission of supporting the troops, their families and our veterans. We depend on the generosity of our community to assist us in fulfilling our mission. Thank you for being a part of what we do!
