Welcome to Blue Star Moms of Marin
Proudly Supporting Our Troops, Their Families And Our Veterans
Many thanks go to Giving Marin Community Partnership for awarding a grant to Blue Star Moms of Marin to help us continue our work!
March 7, 2024 - Giving Marin Community Partnership awarded a record $100,000 in grants to 16 nonprofits on March 7 at the Jonas Center at College of Marin’s Indian Valley Campus. Marin charities have received $440,000 in grants and more than $2 million in advertising space donations in the six years since the initiative’s inception.
“We’re thankful for the vital work performed by the 16 incredible nonprofits we are able to recognize tonight,” Rob Devincenzi, Marin IJ publisher, told the crowd alongside Giving Marin Coordinator Sara Moseley. “They are changemakers. They feed those who are hungry, and house those who have nowhere to sleep. They inspire youth and create artists. They empower young women to be leaders. They provide opportunity and pathways. They support children battling cancer, they are undaunted to cure rare disease, they help our veterans and military. They provide compassionate support for our most vulnerable residents.”
The grant winners, selected among more than 100 applicants, were introduced by the underwriters of the initiative. They are: AAUW Marin Chapter, Blue Star Moms of Marin, Buckelew Programs – Maternidad y Esperanza Marin, Drawbridge, Marin City Cooperation Team, O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, Okizu, PAASS, Save Sight Now, Slide Ranch, SpeakSafe, St. Francis Community Pantry, Veterans Rehoming Help, Welcoming Home, West Marin Senior Services and YWCA Marin.

2023 Giving Marin Awardees
The Blue Star Moms of Marin members, associates and community volunteers foster our mission of supporting the troops, their families and our veterans. We depend on the generosity of our community to assist us in fulfilling our mission.
We feel strongly that a care package from home is one of the most tangible and immediate ways that we can show our gratitude and appreciation to the military men and women serving far from home. Our packages of food, toiletries and, very importantly, cards and letters, are a great morale boost to the spirits of those far away from family and friends.

There are many ways that you can help fill these boxes. Thank you for being a part of what we do!
